   How much trouble is it to open carry here in Al. I know it's legal in most cases but I think I remember something about not being able to even carry concealed to any kind of meeting or public rally. Is this true? I carry concealed about everywhere but to the courthouse and I think it should be legal there, I know some states do not proscribe even that.

   It is a misdemeanor in Alabama for anyone other than a cop to have a gun, loaded or unloaded, while attending or participating in any demonstration at a public area; this includes a gun in one's vehicle in the parking lot.

   I wish our legal climate concerning guns could be brought at least to the level of Arizona, if not Alaska.
   On the bright side though, it's better than Tennessee.
